Closing Ceremony of Gawai Day 2026(Ngiling Bidai) at Saint Francis Xavier Kanowit Church 2026
The Closing Ceremony of Gawai Day 2026 was held with great enthusiasm at Saint Francis Xavier Kanowit Church. The ceremony was attended and officiated by Fr. George, Fr. Mathews and Fr. Ravi, and was joined by the Roman Catholic community of Kanowit.
This ceremony was held as a sign of gratitude and symbolic closing of the Gawai Day 2026 celebration season. In addition to strengthening the bonds of friendship among the people, this celebration also strengthens the spirit of unity, love and togetherness based on Christian values. It is hoped that the spirit of Gawai that is celebrated will continue to foster harmony, mutual respect and cooperation among the community in Kanowit.
