Meeting with Fr. George at SFX Kanowit Church on 20 June 2026.
A meeting was held with Fr. George at SFX Kanowit Church to discuss the choir’s preparations for the upcoming Healing Day, One Voice and Feast Day celebrations. The meeting involved representatives from the English, Iban and Chinese choirs.
During the discussion, Fr. George stressed the importance of cooperation between the three choirs to ensure the smooth and harmonious liturgy throughout the celebration. Each choir was asked to plan their rehearsals in advance, coordinate the selection of appropriate songs, and ensure the presence of choir members at the designated rehearsal sessions.
In addition, the meeting also discussed the need for a better church audio system to support the quality of singing and liturgical delivery. The church has expressed its desire to purchase several new audio equipment, including microphones and audio mixers, to improve the clarity of sound during mass, Healing Day, One Voice and Feast Day. This proposal received support from all choir representatives as the existing equipment was found to be inadequate for the needs of the growing program.
Overall, the meeting went well and achieved the set objectives. All parties agreed to give full commitment in preparations for Healing Day and Feast Day to ensure the celebration runs smoothly, is full of appreciation and glorifies God.
