Station of cross at Bukit Mamaloh Kanowit
On this day, the Kanowit Catholic Christian community was present in large numbers to commemorate the last day of Jesus. The procession was held at Bukit Mamaloh. The activities started early in the morning and ended at the summit through a cement road that had been made. . The Stations of the Cross is a 14 -step Catholic worship that commemorates the last day of Jesus Christ on Earth as a man. 14 stations, focusing on specific events on His last day, begin with His condemnation. These stations are commonly used as mini pilgrimages when individuals move from station to station. At each station, the individual remembers and meditates on specific events from the last days of Christ. A specific prayer is read, then the individual moves on to the next station until all 14 are completed.
